What Should I Expect

During therapy you will lie comfortably on a custom treatment table while a small disposable speculum is inserted into the rectum.
A simple procedure whereby 2 - 6  quarts of filtered water are introduced into the colon.  Some clients can take up to 40 ounces on one inflow. There are some clients that can  take up to 110 ounces on one inflow, (these individuals have had several sessions).  Generally, individuals don't exceed over 70 ounces per inflow.  Of course these numbers will vary.  Everyones comfort level is different.  Keep in mind that it is YOUR comfort level that is important.

Water temperature and pressure are monitored by the therapist and can be varied to stimulate peristalsis (muscular contraction) in the colon.  This is very important to help the atonic (sluggish) colon.

A skilled colon hydrotherapist will use several fills and releases of water as well as light massage techniques to dislodge toxic waste matter adhereing to the colon walls.  The dislodged impactions are then gently washed through the system's waste disposal hose.  This is a closed system, so waste is discretely transported into the drain line without offensive odor.

Each colon hydrotherapy session lasts approximately 45 minutes and one should plan at least one hour per office visit.
